214 Acres of land handed over to NWPGCL by BBA for implementation of Sirajganj 68 MW Solar Park
A Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) was signed between North-West Power Generation Company Limited (NWPGCL), Bangladesh and China National Machinery Import & Export Corporation (CMC, China) on 14 July 2021 to form a Joint Venture Company in order to implement up to 500 MW Solar and/or Wind based Power Plants in Bangladesh. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremonial signing was held via video conference. The honourable State Minister, Ministry of Power, Energy & Mineral Resources, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Mr. Nasrul Hamid, Dr. Ahmad Kaikaus, Principal Secretary to the Honourable Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Ambassador Li Jiming, Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Bangladesh etc. were present during the ceremony.
